Sun Microsystems, one of the most emblematic of the Unix world, today announced an agreement to acquire the company MySQL AB, the company behind the popular database of the free world.
The company was acquired for a total of U $ S 1000 Millions of dollars, the 400 employees who worked directly for MySQL AB to provide services to SUN. The former CEO of the acquired company, Marten Mickos, will serve as director of this new division of SUN.
